Stop by October 31st to check out books, DVDs, sit in your favorite chair, or cry over how much you will miss this old place! The library is closing Tuesday, November 1st to pack up and move to our new location, 805 West Avenue E. Our opening date will be announced later.

The Alpine High School Junior Class will be holding a haunted house inside the Alpine Public Library, Saturday, October 29, 2011! The library is closing for the day, but there will be a GOODBYE OLD LIBRARY ice cream social from 11 AM – 1 PM!
Today & every Friday, senior citizens can stop by the Alpine Public Library to enjoy FREE coffee! Generously sponsored by Big Bend Coffee Roasters out of Marfa, Texas! Come get it while it’s hot!

Come to our first ever Halloween costume contest! First and second place prizes will be given for “Little Monsters,” ages 0-8, and “Tween Witches,” ages 9-12. Meet in the Junior Room on Oct. 31, at 4:30pm.
November’s Speed Book Club will meet at 5:30 PM! 
The teen book club meets November 4, at 4pm at the library. “The Thief Lord,” by Cornelia Funke, will be discussed and snacks will be served. New members are always welcome!
Prosper and Bo are orphans on the run from their cruel aunt and uncle.
