The Alpine High School Junior Class will be holding a haunted house inside the Alpine Public Library, Saturday, October 29, 2011! The library is closing for the day, but there will be a GOODBYE OLD LIBRARY ice cream social from 11 AM – 1 PM!

Come to our first ever Halloween costume contest! First and second place prizes will be given for “Little Monsters,” ages 0-8, and “Tween Witches,” ages 9-12. Meet in the Junior Room on Oct. 31, at 4:30pm.
The teen book club meets November 4, at 4pm at the library. “The Thief Lord,” by Cornelia Funke, will be discussed and snacks will be served. New members are always welcome!
Prosper and Bo are orphans on the run from their cruel aunt and uncle. The brothers decide to hide out in Venice, where they meet a mysterious character who calls himself the “Thief Lord.” Brilliant and charismatic, the Thief Lord leads a ring of street children who dabble in petty crimes. Re Reads Used Bookstore will be closed until further notice for packing up & preparing for the move into the new building!
Stop by Re-Reads for the Buck-A-Bag sale Thursday, and Friday, from 1:30 to 5:00 PM and regular hours 10 AM - 5 PM on Saturday!
Buy a bag for $1 and fill it up with your heart’s desire! Re-Reads is preparing for the big move into the new library and needs your help to make it lighter! All proceeds benefit the Alpine Public Library.
Pajama Story Time will be held September 24, at 7pm, in the Children’s Room. Enjoy a funny puppet show, hear stories about autumn, make a fuzzy owl craft project, and look at a mulberry leaf under a microscope. This program is free and will last about and hour.
